SARAH HUGHES has been a casting director for the last 19 years, splitting her time evenly between theatre and television (with occasional forays into commercials and film), and focussing largely on comedy casting.

In theatre, she has been Alan Ayckbourn's casting director since 1991 casting his plays in Scarborough, in the West End, on Broadway and for numerous other theatres.

In television, She has freelanced for the Entertainment department of the BBC for the last 10 years, casting and co-casting many comedies and comedy dramas such as JONATHAN CREEK, PULLING, LOVE SOUP, 2 PINTS, THE OLD GUYS and THE GREAT OUTDOORS.

Sarah has a strong interest in diversity in casting, and in particular in promoting the work of actors with disabilities.
